The Admin Committee (link) has been engaging informal discussions with individuals interested in (A) starting a new email meeting and (B) forming an actual group, for the purpose of holding meetings, to conduct itself independently, using services provided by the Admin Committee on this site. The Admin Committee is hereby providing the means for an online "facility", and the collected information, here on our web site. The Admin Committees interpretation of the Online AA Anonymity Advisory Statement, provided by the Online Intergroup of Alcoholics Anonymous, supports our decision to simply act as the facility and encourage a true group conscience to conduct the affairs of actual meetings. Plainly stated, the Admin Committee is NOT the group, the Admin Committee is merely providing the facility (services), for which the group(s) may conduct meetings(s).
With this being said, here is the starting point for this first meeting. From this point forward, including the formation of an actual group and/or any changes to the information provided here, all decisions regarding this email meeting shall be decided by those who choose to participate in this email meeting.

The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

Secretary: Elected for a six month term, lead business meeting, maintain vote count records, notify the Admin Committee to update the web page for the group/meeting and to make AA birthday/celebration announcements to the list.

Voting method: Allow seven days to count votes, one vote per person, tallied by the Secretary and/or the Secretary may ask the Admin Committee for a tally box. All motion discussion must be conducted on a separate email list (BAAGroup@topica.com).
The Admin Committee shall (1) update this information to reflect decisions made by the meeting/group. (2) Serve as the Listkeeper, including the temporary hold and/or permanent removal of any disruptive member, IF instructed to do so by the meeting/group Secretary. (3) Moderate email to remove any unwanted (not welcome) messages, such as Spam, off-topic posts and personal attacks. (4) Shall NOT censor any post to the list, including undesirable language. The moderation of messages shall be approved or rejected in their entire original form and shall not be edited at any time. (5) Shall NOT have a vote on any group/meeting motions, the Admin Committee shall act as the facility.
